  Q: Will this really seal with something wet in a bag?

  A: Really. For moist food, dry or freeze it frst for 2 hours. Or place a folded paper towel between the food and seal area. Make sure both sides of the sealer is locked down.

  Q: How far do I place bag in chamber?

  A: You have to get the open edge of the bag in the center gap of the gasket. Try not to overfill the bags, they need to be able to lay flat across that sealer strip and gaskets. Sometimes an extra set of hands pulling on the edges of the bags is needed to keep everything flat and lined up. 

  Q: Can it be used for sous vide cooking?

  A: Yes, but be sure to use the vacuum seal type bags. Other plastics may not seal well, hold up well in the sous vide bath, or may give off noxious or toxic gases while cooking.
