That is, no prescription is required. Cetirizine is available in capsules and tablets. It is typically taken once per day and begins to work quickly. If you have allergy symptoms on a daily basis, Cetirizine (Zyrtec) is safe to take every day. If you don&#8217;t have allergy symptoms on a daily basis, you can take them as needed on days when they bother you. Cetirizine is safe to take at any time of day.
